Consumer Direct offers helping hand to shoppers at Clarks Village, Street!

A team from Consumer Direct South West and Somerset Trading Standards will be at Clarks Village, Street on Wednesday 6 December from 9am-6pm to raise awareness of Consumer Direct's helpline service to shoppers. They will also be on hand to offer clear, practical pre-shopping advice.

As consumers hunt down bargains, representatives from Consumer Direct and Somerset Trading Standards will be on hand to distribute information materials and talk with shoppers on topics such as:

  • Unwanted Gifts & Rights to Refunds.
  • Avoiding Counterfeit
  • Rights over Faulty Goods
  • Making Choices on Extended Warranties

Jim Mochnacz, Portfolio Holder for Community Protection said, 'Within Somerset we are delighted to be supporting this event and giving the opportunity for our consumers to be aware of the advice service offered by Consumer Direct South West in conjunction with local Trading Standards.'
