Barnet Trading Standards in partnership with Barnet Adult Social Services to host 'World Elder Abuse Awareness week'

World Elder Abuse Awareness week is held annually to raise awareness of the abuse of older adults and to highlight the need for appropriate action.

In Barnet, activities will take place throughout the week leading up to World Elder Abuse Awareness Day on 15 June.

Information stalls will be visible at the following locations to offer free advice on will be offer on elder abuse and Consumer Direct:

Brent Cross Shopping Centre, Hendon -   9 June 2008

The Spires Shopping Centre, High Street, Barnet -   11 June 2008

The Broadwalk, Station Road, Edgware -   13 June 2008

Barnet General Hospital (Wellhouse Lane, Barnet) and Edgware Community Hospital (Burnt Oak Broadway, Edgware). 9 -13 June, 2008
